1. Do you think if the video of Rodney King's beating was not filmed, would police brutality and other racist/violent acts continue?
2. With that being said, do you think people would want to know the cruel or uncruel things that happen when people are not paying attention or would they simply want to ignore it?
3.Would Wikileaks be controversial as it is now if it did not involve the Federal government at all?
Sometimes I think what people don't know don't hurt them unfortunately. I feel like since the incident was filmed people care, because it seems more real, whereas if they were told about the incident it is harder to believe. It is kind of like those dog and cat abuse commercials with the really sad music, where they show how hurt and sad all the animals are. If people didn't see those commercials, and see the effects of what has happened, it wouldn't be as strong of a commercial. If people are not shown, the issues can often be "out of sight, out of mind."
