1. Should the government have the right to keep secrets from the people?
2. Do phone companies actually give information to the government when asked for it? It said Verizon was asked but I wonder if information was ever given to the government.
3. Should the government tell everything to the people? Do people even want to know what all th government is doing?
I don't think that the government should tell us everything because if they did then I'm sure some of the information would cause panic or something of the sort.
ReplyDeleteIn response to question 1 I do not think the goverment has the right to keep secrets from the people. We elect them to power and if they are doing things with my money that doesn't protect us then I want to know about it. The only secrets that should be kept are those that would endanger national security. Other than that I want to know whats going on behind the curtain.
ReplyDeleteI do think phone companies giver information to the government. In court cases, records of phone conversations and text message content are one of the requested items some times. If courts can request this info and receive it, I'm sure the government does as well.
