Privacy Dilemma

1) I like the writer's opening, but why do you think they decided to be so personal?
2) Why does the writer focus so heavily on social networking?
3) Its hard to pick out, but what side is the author arguing for?

    The opening is awesome. I think they did this so the reader knows this topic is one of personal interest/effect so they are a creditable writer.
