1- Do the children who attend a school that does not have a lot of money going into it, have a lesser opportunity to learn the same material as those who attend a wealthier school? (ex- schools with computer labs vs. those who don't)
2- Does being book smart help you for the future? or is being street smart and knowing skills more helpful for our futures?
3-What is the true meaning of being an educated person?
I've finished college already and so some people will call me "educated." But then people I know will sometimes jokingly call me stupid, and I know that it is half-meant. In reality, my degree doesn't make me educated -- I just have a degree, that's it. So, I don't really know what the word means.
ReplyDeleteI think one needs a balance of being book smart and being street smart. It is important to understand people as well as being knowledgeable about facts and what not.
